The Round Rock Public Library Will Host a Startup Business Plan Competition

To help small businesses secure their first round of funding, the Round Rock Public Library will host a competition.

Round Rock Entrepreneurs Company Plan Competition is a chance for entrepreneurs with for-profit business concepts to earn a $10,000 cash prize as part of the Round Rock Business Plan Competition. The grand prize winner will get $7,500 in cash, a Dell computer worth $2,500, and a one-on-one meeting with a Dell Technology specialist. A cash reward of $3,500 will be awarded to one of the runners-up.

Participants must have a library card, submit an entry form, and be 18 years or older in order to participate. More information on qualifying requirements may be found on the city’s website. Applications must be submitted to the library on its competition website no later than 11:59 p.m. on March 31 to be considered for consideration.

The competition is being held as part of the Biz.Ability program at the library. According to the city, Biz.Ability classes will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Fridays in February via Zoom.com.
